The atmosphere is elegant and classy, and even though we were not dressed for that and showed up with our 2 kids in tow, we were welcomed with grace and sincerity. Mariah was our server. She was knowledgeable, friendly and spot on with her recommendations of meal choices. My daughter tried the duck spring rolls and LOVED them, even though she is a picky eater (they really were delicious). The mac cheese is creamy and delicious too. I had the Bacon wrapped Dates and Beet Salad. I've had Beet salad before, but they use a golden beet that lends a different element to this salad. Loved it! My husband ordered the Halibut with the crab cake garnish Yum!! We will definitely be coming back... maybe without the kids next time!
What a Gem! I don't even want to leave a review because I want this place to be kept a secret so when I go I don't have to wait for a table. Haha. But no joke, run, fly, skip, or do whatever it takes to get here. Make a reservation. This place isn't much on the outside but when you walk in, you are transported to a little bistro that is banging good, great bar scene and the live music was sooooo good. So we did the small bites. 1.We got the bacon date bites: uhhh, F k yes!! Don't think just do it. Maybe order two orders. I didn't like how much we (my husband and I) seemed to be watching who was eating what and how much. We should of just ordered each our own. 2. We ordered the duck confit spring rolls. Very good. The Jam and slaw served was super good. The spring rolls itself were good, just missing a little something. But still so good. 3. We got the blackened shrimp tacos. These were a taco Tuesday special. Very very good!!! 4. We got the pork trio board! So freaking good! Like sooooooo good! We both ordered a alcoholic beverage. Bill was $84 dollars! Not freaking bad. I wanted dessert, but I was way to stuffed to even eat another ounce. We will be back!! Some of the best food we have had in a long time!
We came out here from Chesapeake to try this place out. I will admit it started a little rocky and we almost left; so glad we didn't! I think our waiter was new. He seemed a little nervous and my hubby can be a little intimidating. But he was very attentive and made sure we were taken care of. For appetizers we had plump, juicy oysters on the half shell. They were served with an unusual and delicious vinaigrette. We ordered their Charcuterie board which was nothing short of amazing. It was loaded with creamy blue cheese, cured meats, and crisp pickled veggies! But the best thing on that board had to be the bacon jam...so good! We ordered the special of the evening which was a ribeye, seasoned and cooked a perfect mid-rare. It was served with roasted tomatoes, fresh green beans and roasted brussel sprouts. I almost forgot to mention the side of Mac and Cheese. Just like homemade, with nice crispy, browned cheese around the edges! We will definitely make that trek again, real soon.
The waiter was friendly, the food was tasty, minus a couple over cooked pancakes and waffle. The hashbrowns were the best I've ever tasted. Things that need attention: the kitchen did not make my meal, then served it with the wrong side and by the time I got my food everyone else was done. We also had to wait until the end of the meal for two people to get the eggs they had ordered a la carte. There is water on the table, but you have to ask for ice. We also had to ask for butter after the waffles and pancakes came. We were surprised to only have brunch offered on Father's Day afternoon, and that menu is pretty limited, and the fact that there is no kid menu and you have to buy a full meal for a 2 year old is unusual. Overall, it was a good meal when we finally all got our food. Would definitely like to see a lunch menu offered.
Our waiter was busy but he never came over to refill coffee or ask if we need anything for over 15minutes. We were unable to make eye contact with any server to get refills. Our food was cold when it came out. It would've been really good but not being cold. I would assume it was setting for a while in the back waiting to be brought out.
