J & L Drive-In - Port Alberni

Their burgers are famous. When family comes to town from the mainland, they have to have a J&L burger for at least one lunch.

Perfect stop off driving from Nanaimo over to Tofino, this place is a real gem and long may it continue! Great food and service, will be back next visit!

Excellent! Great burgers, we ordered the J&L special burger. Our eyes were bigger than our stomachs. Add great onion rings and crisp fries, we both almost finished, huge burger, brought the fries home! It was fast, hot and delicious. Service was great, very friendly staff. We try to come every time we’re in Port. We’ll be back. Way to go J&L!

I ordered the seafood platter and my husband the mushroom burger. Both excellent. Enough fries on the seafood platter for both of us. Meals were hot and fresh, and reasonably priced. Service was friendly and quick and the drive-in experience took us back to childhood. Excellent establishment for a greasy, fast food lunch treat. Recommend.

Really good burger, good fries and really good milkshake. The fries are a rather large portion though they should have an option for a smaller size.
