Coach’s Island Grill - Port Aransas

This is a tiny breakfast spot that requires a bit of patience. We waited around 30 minutes before getting seated, and be aware that you need to place your order while you’re on the waiting list, so they’re ready when your table is ready. The food is delicious and fresh, with generous portions. If you're with someone who has a smaller appetite, you might want to go for the French toast or a smaller dish. Overall, it’s a really great place to visit if you’re in Port Aransas for a quick trip!

I really want to rate Coach's a 5, but they were out of chicken fried steak, which I was really craving. That said, the steak and eggs were good. The steak was flank steak instead of a traditional cut, and the hash browns were a bit on the salty side. The service was excellent, and the decor was fun and cozy. I will definitely return!

Although there was a slight wait due to the smaller dining area and the large number of patrons, the ordering process while waiting made it manageable. Our food arrived almost immediately after we were seated, making the overall experience comparable to that of a larger restaurant – no complaints there! The food was amazing, the atmosphere was inviting, and the staff were friendly and attentive. We will definitely return on our next visit.

Decided to taste this stubborn place. For breakfast and loved. When I come back to Port Aransas, this super small restaurant will be where I eat every breakfast. Fabulous flakey chicken fried steak. Creamy Gravy loaded with taste. I upgraded my toast to a pancake. The pancake can come with any number of blows I selected unicorn sprinkles. Waitress said it will taste your pancake like a cupcake she had perfect. The kitchen played whole country music while the 3 hard experienced waitress sang occasionally. The best place to eat a bit.

Found this gem by looking for local breakfast places in Port Aransas and maaaan! Let me tell you how happy I was! Greeted by sweet waitresses Tiffany and Kim was definitely a good first impression. Tiffany was my waitress and she helped me with popular menu options and omg the PANCAKES!!! BIG as a plate and portions a great hearty size! Fell in love with the sports memorabilia and even more so when I found out that the owner is the cook! Love supporting small local businesses like this! Will definitely be back again!
