Pak's Backyard - Port Austin

Food was passable, nicely plates but otherwise unremarkable. Drinks were beautiful but not strong. The patio has a nice view with many opportunities to entertain yourself until your meal was ready. Our waitress was not attentive, did not refill drinksand generally she seemed like she wasn't really sure what was going on. We asked what was on the firecracker shrimp and shecouldn't tell us other than she thought they might have nuts on them but that they were definitely loaded... Unsure if she meantthey have a lot of sauce or if they were like loaded fries but she didn't ask any of her co-workers either.

Really great place to eat! You can look out to the lake, watch ducks and listen to music out on the patio or inside the restaurant! The atmosphere was neighborly and it felt like everyone was having a good time! Staff is patient and nice! Food wasreally good, menu was simple. That had some spicy options which is cool, I prefer to eat spicy food. The shrimp skewers alongwith my Pak's burger was cooked very well and full of flavor! I highly recommend this place!

My family has visited this restaurant twice this summer, and we would come back more often if we lived closer. We absolutely love the food here! Our favorite appetizers are the pretzel balls, which are absolutely amazing and probably the best we have ever had (and we have tried many options in MI). The french fries are also very unique and delicious. My children really enjoy the lemonade, claiming it is the best they have ever had. The atmosphere and setting of the restaurant are fantastic. Coming from Southern California, this open-air, casual restaurant reminds me of home (but with much more reasonable prices). There are plenty of games for kids to enjoy outside, and the view of Lake Huron is breathtaking. We definitely plan on making this a yearly summer tradition.

This restaurant is fantastic! It features live music, a chill atmosphere, and a beautiful view. You can even see the kayaks from your table since the shop is nearby. The service is excellent, making it perfect for families and individuals of all ages. The prices are fair, so even stopping by for a drink and a snack is worth it if you are in the area.

The restaurant has a nice outdoor patio with a view of the lake. They have a good selection of beers and their cocktails look great, although they were a bit light on alcohol. The food we ordered was just okay - it could have been better. However, when you're hungry after a kayaking session, it'll do just fine.
