Eastern Pearl Seafood - Port Coquitlam

One of our favourite local place to go with friends and family for dim sum. It’s almost always busy so reservation is a must. Lots of variety for tasty dim sum treats. Beef brisket with rice roll, XO sauce stir fry radish cake are just a couple of our must haves. We haven’t tried all the dishes but all we have tried have been delicious.

This dim sum spot is one of the best in the Lower Mainland when it comes to quality and price. For two people, I usually order just three dishes: sticky rice wrap, prawn rice roll, and har gow. The total comes to around $26, so with a tip, it ends up being less than $15 per person.

I went for dim sum with a friend and had a really unpleasant experience. The waitress became extremely rude and angry with us just for writing our second round of orders on the same menu. I tried to stay calm, even though she seemed to lose her temper for no apparent reason. We had ordered the same items multiple times before, but the prices were always different. It was especially frustrating when the waitress mentioned that the prices varied depending on whether you paid with cash or credit card. In conclusion, this restaurant is the last place you want to visit, regardless of the food quality, service standards, or the honesty of the staff and owner.

The food is incredibly delicious, and the atmosphere is vibrant and lively. The cuisine is authentic, and everything I tried was fantastic. The service from the staff was exceptional, which truly impressed me. I highly recommend this restaurant!

I hope the owner sees this message: This was the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant. I visited for lunch today with my family and friends—there were 14 of us in total—and our bill exceeded $450. Since we had ordered so much food, I asked the server, who seemed to be in charge since she was the only one wearing a black t-shirt, how many orders were still not ready. She responded aggressively, saying, "Don't you have eyes to read the numbers yourself?" We were all taken aback! I was really embarrassed by her behavior. If someone can't even answer a basic question from customers, they clearly shouldn't be in this line of work. When my friends requested to cancel some orders that hadn't been prepared yet, the servers just ignored us. We will never return to this restaurant again.
