Rainbow Butterfly Restaurant

The food was hot and good! Fast service. We had Dim Sum Shrimp Dumplings, Sho My, BBQ pork buns, Mushroom roll, Pork roll, Shrimp roll Shrimp Toast. We will return.

When we travel to the lower mainland of BC (quite often). We meet with friends and try to go to this restaurant everyday. We love dim sum so much! We have our favourite dishes, deep fried squid, green beans, Har gow (shrimp dumplings) siu mai (pork dumplings), shrimp spring rolls, pan fried shrimp and chive dumplings, bean curd roll, scallop dumplings, curried baby octopus. We like to choose a different surprise dish or two. The food is delicious and the service is very friendly.

Food was good and cheap but the staff are not friendly. The owner is just plain rude. Staff is always on a rush even if they're not really that busy and they appear stressed and unhappy. When the owner came to our table to get our orders, she was just plain rude.

We dropped by on a Sunday around 11:00 am and there was already quite a lot of people inside eating. We had the pan fried turnip cake (big portion) and full of turnip, the steamed beef balls which had a very good flavor, sticky rice which was not bad but I didn't see any Chinese sausage inside and the deep fried pork dumplings which was just ok.

My son goes here for dim sum, So I thought it would be good. I was wrong. The soup I had was ok but the service was beyond terrible. I never got any condiments with my soup, no more hot water for my tea. Once my soup was in front of me, I never got any more service! It's not like they were busy. So I didn't order anything else. I was the only white person in the restaurant! I guess I was the wrong colour! I am so affended. None of my family will ever return. No honour at all. Karen K. Port Coquitlam
