Amy's Place - Port Elgin

Consistently good food coming from a restaurant kitchen is difficult to find. Not so with Amy's. The food is fresh, expertly cooked, and very tasty. Today, with a regional power outage, we found out that downtown Tara still had power,so we decided to take the family to Amy's. The friendly smiles of Amy and her staff greeted us as we arrived. Unlike a notorious Wiarton restaurant, Amy's welcomes families. This is a restaurant that makes you feel at home. Amy makes sure of that. All of us fully enjoyed our scrumptious breakfasts, and the relaxing atmosphere. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who hasn't had the pleasure to dine here yet. A great place for breakfast, brunch or lunch.

We land at Amy's place frequently. The service is second to none! Large menu, great variety, oversized portions, low prices. Meals are prepared with fresh and local ingredients. Very cozy environment that feels like home. Never had a bad meal! Breakfast, lunch, soups sandwiches! Cinnamon buns, butter tarts, pies, milkshakes!! BEST AROUND!

We stopped for lunch on Saturday and what a nice lunch we had. The food is fresh and made to order. I even treated myself to a piece of Butterscotch Caramel pie with real whip cream and Skor pieces on top. The soups are homemade too. You will not be disappointed at all as the food is great and the prices very reasonable not to mention great service too.There are no french fries but the home fries are amazing.
