Café Guido - Port Hardy

Great coffee and cakes. They also have a drive through near the hardware shop. Upstairs in the cafe are locally made crafts and downstairs is a book shop. We’ll worth a visit.

We planned to stop at Café Guido for lunch while driving around North Vancouver Island. On that day, an unplanned power outage was creating havoc in Port Hardy. Almost all shops and restaurants were forced to close. We managed to get some snacks at the gas station and went for a long beach walk. When coming back, everything was back in order so we were able to get excellent tea and cakes.

This is a coffee and sandwich place with options similar to Starbucks. The coffees/teas are lovely with lots to choose from. I had a wonderful sandwich and yoghurt. The cafe is colocated with a book store (fabulous) and an art store (wonderful). Great for a coffee and a wander.

This place is busy and full of local people which is always a recommendation. Service was good and I had what I think was the stickiest and chewiest brownie I've ever had exceptional.

Just great coffee, great food, great service, and a bookstore too. What more could you ask for? If you ask me, no other place I want to have coffee at in Port Hardy.
