Port Hughes tavern

We had dinner at this restaurant one night during our trip and ordered the seafood platter for two. The portions were very generous, so much so that we were given takeaway containers to bring the leftovers home with us. The food was absolutely delicious, and we were impressed by the great selection at the veggie and salad bar. The service was quick and friendly, and the kids menu had a great variety of options. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will definitely be returning on our next visit to the area.

We visited this tavern for a family meal while on vacation. The menu seemed to have fewer options than what we saw during the summer, but the food was average and the service was fast and friendly. Overall, we had no complaints about our experience.

Delicious and satisfying. The kids loved the butterfish, I had the flathead and prawn twists. The food was excellent and the service was friendly. They were accommodating to my son's request for BBQ sauce. The salad and vegetable bar was great. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for its food and views.

Unfortunately we found this bistro on our last evening on the copper coast Excellent, fresh food and well priced The calamari is to die for, the best I have ever tasted. Oh how I wish I lived closer! This bistro raises the bar for the other local restaurants, and they will have difficulty reaching it.

Located right next to the pier at Pt Hughes the Tavern offers a good range of food at reasonable prices for the size of the meals , ie huge. Luckily, they will do 1/2 sized versions for those of us with smaller appetites. Obviously they have a great range of seafood choices & steaks, pizza etc. Nothing fancy but good honest food.
