William Higgins - Port Lavaca

This dish was absolutely delicious. The Barbacoa taco was tasty as well. The staff was friendly, and the restaurant was clean. We will definitely be returning!

I had never actually dined in the restaurant before, having only gotten takeout in the past. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the attentive service and the knowledgeable bartender. I believe our waiter was named Adrian, and I definitely want to sit in his section again on my next visit. I previously mentioned that while they have a full bar, I didn’t think anyone could mix the drinks I enjoy. I was completely wrong! The chicken flautas were delicious, and I tried my partner’s quesadillas, which were also fantastic. I highly recommend this place, especially if you're looking for something different from the typical Mexican restaurants in the city.

The restaurant was clean, the server was friendly and efficient, and the food arrived quickly. The dishes we tried, including the queso, chips, and salsa, were all absolutely delicious. We ordered two hot plates, but one was more than enough for us to share and feel full. The prices were fantastic—we spent just $49 for two hot plates, a large Bloody Mary, queso, and a tea. The only downside was that we weren't sure if we were supposed to pay at the table or at the front, and we waited a while for the waitress to return so we could ask her. Unfortunately, she never came back, so we just went ahead and paid without seeing our bill. Despite that minor issue, I would definitely return!

The staff here is so friendly and alive! You are willing to serve you and please eagerly! There are many seats and a ride thru when taking food home is your thing. There is a full bar with special drinks you think you are on the sand of a beautiful Mexican beach! I had nothing I didn't like here, and I'm super picky with Mexican food! The Flameada is my absolute favorite! You can't eat wrong here!
