I’ve been coming to Kopi for over 2-years. I love their coffee and the fact there are so many non diary options. My biggest challenge with Kopi as of late has been the service and the lack of consistency with the taste of the beverage. There have been several instances where I’ve ordered the sweet cream latte and each time it tastes different. As for as service is concerned, just last week I went to Kopi and had to wait a considerable amount of time while the barista made a friend for drink and talked about very personal issues. And to be fair the issue wasn’t that the barista was making a drink for their friend, it was lack of attention to other customers while they chatted making other wait. And couple of weeks before that I had to wait 15 minutes for a drink because the person taking orders was not using a proper system to take down orders and I wasn’t the only customer waiting.I really love Kopi. Hope the service can be as consistent as the coffee because I really love coming here when everything is on point.
Got the honey mocha latte hot. Def recommend although a little more on the sweeter side for my coffee preferences these days. You can ask for half sweet if needed. : Great ambiance in the shop and a good amount of seating in their little basement area if there aren’t spots up by the front. They also sell beans that are really good for making coffee at home. ??
I'm from Wisconsin and have spent quite a few days in Portland. I'm a coffee connessiuer. Ive tried about 4 or 5 different coffee shops before trying Kopi Coffee, and i have to say it is by far my favorite. The barista was very nice, the coffees we had were delicious (the ube latte being my favorite), and I enjoy the seating that is in this coffee shop as well which I forgot to take photos of. If I lived here this would be a place I'd frequent.
If you come to Portland and you like middle eastern and south east asian inspired flavors you're going to LOVE kopi. The parking is a little touch and go so keep that in mind before you visit, but I promise it's so worth it. Plus you're almost guaranteed to have a dog sighting.Food: 5/5
