Feedback gevenWe selected this restaurant because it was listed in the 2018 Best of Portland. It was listed as best new restaurant 2nd best overall restaurant. We were VERY disappointed. As a vegetarian the selection for me was limited to 1 entree, Zucchini Fettuccine, and it was MUCH TOO salty and the other dishes my friends got were too!!! The best thing on the menu was the avocado toast.
Amazing experience and I will definitely go back. Only 2 issues were that the home made pasta was over cooked and I would recommend the chef using bigger pasta bowls (the bowls used were filled up to the rim). Those small tweaks will make it one of the very best dining experiences in Portland!
Our group of five tried two pastas, the special sea bass, and the zucchini noodles with a soubise sauce. We started with three breads (avocado and lobster toasts, and a maple butter/loaf. Everything was superb except the rather plain loaf/butter and the woody tomatoes with the sea bass--in August that was rather shocking. The zucchini noodles dish was a revelation. The toasts were perfection. Seating was comfortable. The service was attentive. The restaurant should be fully booked and the only reason I believe we could get in last minute on a Saturday night is that there is SO much new competition in Portland. Also, the restaurant could use some exterior pizazz to attract the Tandem crowd.
This place is fantastic! My husband and I loved our meal here. We started with the bread maple butter, which was freshly baked and absolutely delicious. We then had the pappardelle and the zucchini fettuccine, and both entrees were wonderful as well. The service was very attentive and the restaurant itself is beautiful. I highly recommend this place!
We had an excellent dinner with seasonal and local ingredients. also inventive cocktail list. simple dining room, friendly staff. I'm sorry it closed.
