Clubhouse Grill - Portland

This is the kind of restaurant I truly enjoy (and if you’ve read any of my reviews, you know I have particular tastes). I appreciate places that feel authentic, perhaps a little gritty, and have an "old school" vibe. A friend has taken me here for breakfast a few times, and I like it for the same reasons I enjoy the Nite Hawk in Portland. The Clubhouse primarily focuses on serving drinks, and nothing gets in the way of that—even at 9 a.m. on a Sunday. However, they still offer a great breakfast combo and delicious omelettes, plus they keep the coffee flowing. There’s plenty of parking available, and the prices are very reasonable.

The blonde bartender really knows her stuff! She's always quick on her feet, often moving briskly, if not jogging, to ensure speedy service. You can definitely tell by her expression that you wouldn’t want to get on her bad side. She’s the perfect person to manage a bar, and I really like her style. Overall, she’s an excellent bartender!

I had a fantastic time last Friday! Ashley and her team were exceptionally attentive to everything going on. The atmosphere was lively, with a diverse group of guests. They also took the time to remind everyone, including me (apologies, I don’t venture out often), about the new safety rules in place for everyone’s well-being.

Nothing fancy, but a solid menu of comfort food, well prepared. Service was friendly and efficient. A great place to stop for lunch, whether you want traditional lunch fare, or an excellent late breakfast
