Wish this place was opened on the weekends so I can come here more often.Definitely one of my go to restaurants :
This little gem is located downtown and convenient to get to. I needed a hot broth so popped in here for pho which l hadn’t had for a very long time. I don’t usually have pho outside (prefer parents one) but this was an exception. I was pleasantly surprised at how tasty it was, the broth really warmed me up. I ended up finishing most of it. So decided to order a vermicelli bowl with grilled lemongrass pork and grilled pork patties to go and had it for dinner. Shame they ran out of crispy pork belly, but what l ordered was tasty. The sauce was rather too sweet for my tastes, so l added lemon juice to balance out the flavour. Also the grilled pork was a tad too sweet too. Put that together with the sauce too sweet. The place is like a canteen so very casual. For eating in, you collect your own cutlery and sauces (sirachi/hoisin) and the tea and water is free. I had so much broth so the tea was thoroughly welcomed just to cleanse my palate after eating.Staff were very nice and polite. I would certainly head back here should l visit Portland again.
They take a lot of pride in their work and it’s for good reason. They actually brew their Thai tea so they’re not using the powder stuff you typically see and it’s not super sugary. The banh mi is fantastic and they take so much time to prepare the pork belly. We also got the vermicelli noodles but we thought it was stir fried but that was our bad. Definitely the place to eat.

I met a friend for lunch here today and had the pork belly banh mi, while my friend opted for the chicken vermicelli noodles. Both dishes were delightful, and considering it's downtown Portland, the prices were reasonable (though not exactly cheap—around $13 for the banh mi and $16 for the noodles). The noodle bowl was enormous and could easily serve two people. The restaurant was bustling, but the ordering process was quick and efficient, and we waited only about five minutes for our food. I will definitely return!
