Hot Suppa - Portland

Very good place- people are great and food is very good. Regular brunch food but slightly elevated. Be aware the prices are actually 4% higher than listed. They add a “4% kitchen appreciation tax” onto your bill. I understand, servers won’t share tips and owners don’t pay a good enough wage- so you get that surprise extra cost. After a nice meal it felt sneaky. Would have gladly paid extra if it was just included in prices.

This is a great place for eggs Benedict. I got one of the special Bennies of the day, the Texas Beef Chili Benedict, and their Cajun **** Mary. Both were delicious.

A delightful visit to Maine ending why Hot Suppa! Your only problem here is going to be deciding what to eat! Our server, Tara, was attentive, personable, and shared with us her favorites and gave us recommendations based on our feedback everythingwas delish. If you like spicy, get the cajun **** mary. We shall return on our next trip to Maine.

Great food and service. The grits were perfect and the bacon is on point. Just make sure to get there early or you may have to wait a bit, but its very much worth it.

My wife and I had breakfast here on our recent trip to Portland. We arrived around 10 am and there was still a 25 minute wait. It’s worth the wait!!!!! We asked our waitress if we should share the Mother Clucker? We are glad we did! Plenty of food. We added a side of bacon and cheddar on top of the grits! The coffee was good and I also ordered a caramel latte. Good food and plenty of it! Even though we shared, we still couldn’t eat all of it! There’s nice artwork offered for sale on the walls by a local artist. Lastly, a thank you to our very nice server!
