They look and smell amazing, so we’re excited to have them for breakfast tomorrow. The pastries were outstanding, and the space itself is charming. We'll definitely return the next time we're in Portland!
I wasn't a fan of the pretzel baguette that the apple, bacon, and chevre sandwich was served on. It lacked a strong pretzel flavor and the texture felt somewhat stale. I expected better quality from a bakery. The price was a bit steep too, around $13 if I remember correctly, but the sandwich was quite small. I probably would have needed three of them to actually feel satisfied, even for brunch.
The pastries were great but nothing to write home about though for me it's already a win. I agree with other reviews saying that the workers could be nicer. They don't smile : I might go there again if I'm ever in the area but won't go on purpose.
Far and above the closest thing to authentic French baked goods I have found in PDX. The croissants truly are the size of a real croissant and not the basketball size everybody else makes. Their breads and baguettes are top class. We fell in love with them from buying them at Providore and was delighted to know the bakery that makes them. Our baguette this morning was still warm out of the oven.
A great little bakery. They have a good selection of morning treats to enjoy all day. Thier salt topped brownie was/is some of the best I have ever had!! The Ham and Cheese sandwich was a bit oily but good, the banana nut bread was also in the top 5 category of great items, Overall a great bakery, the only problem it closes early, thats until the bread runs out.
