Perfect dinner to start off our first visit to Maine. Pretty decent appetizers. We had the calamari and fried whole belly clams. The New England clam chowder was pretty good. We also really liked the broiled haddock. The lobster rolls are to die for, especially the one with the hot honey. The trio is a great option as well because you get a lobster roll, crab roll, and a shrimp roll. Food is pricey but to be expected since everything is so fresh and delicious. Would one hundred percent recommend coming here for lunch or dinner. Just be ready for a bit of a wait. We went on a Tuesday night for dinner and it was about an hour wait. Now for my standard comments. Location was very clean and well kept. Tables are decently distanced too.Parking: There’s a row of available parking spots on the pier but it’s limited and it’s a little over twenty dollars to park.
Nice place on the water. I've never been a lobster person. Never understood the hype. I ordered the spicy hot butter lobster roll, and it was fine. Nothing against the place, I just didn't find it mind blowing. I always try a lobster roll when i visit Maine and I still haven't become a member of the lobster cult. Wife had the blueberry salad with goat cheese. It was nice and tart and the goat cheese balanced it out nicely. Nice views from inside, with large windows. There is a nice upper deck you can stand and have a few drinks while waiting for a table. Inside was loud but lively.
Ate at Luke’s today! It was wonderful! We sat in the upstairs bar area. The view of the bay was lovely. We started with a unique **** Mary made with a local **** Mary mixer. Our appetizer was chips yummy clam dip! We followed up with a delicious cup of clam chowder and then topped off with the incredible lobster roll! Our bar tender/server was Emma, she was spot on with taking care of us! Be sure to eat at Luke’s!
Walking around downtown feeling hungry decided I should get a roll before I left Portland. Wanted to sit at the water so I walked down one of the alleys and found Luke's.Decided to try the lobster BLT instead of the roll and wasn't disappointed, it was good. I thought the fries were ok but I wasn't there for the fries. My server was attentive and friendly.
Best lobster bisque and lobster roll in Portland, Maine!! Be sure to ask for the bisque bowl! The view of the coast is amazing from the restaurant. Have a balcony and terrace in all 3 levels. Great selection of local beers and spirits...HIGHLY recommended!
