Mayrose - Portland

My husband and I are simple foodies the food was delicious, but slightly too elevated for our tastes. We had to google several of the options. My husband chose the Mayrose burger and enjoyed it. I had a couple of his fries and they were delicious all on their own, no ketchup needed. I had the pork chop and polenta. The porkchop was very good, the polenta was lumpy. Our server was attentive and friendly. We were seated in a booth the near the exterior doors, entirely too chilly during the winter storm that had rolled in.

Main entrees were served tepid for some reason, and they never really fixed it when we told them about it as if something was wrong in the kitchen. But I'm sure it's a challenge to get everything right on Christmas. Staff and ambiance were lovely.

Overall an excellent meal with some really high points and some good points, service was excellent

Great dish of Lamb chops with Yukon potatoes : Delicious desserts. Very friendly and prompt service.
