Mccormick Schmick's Harborside At The Marina Portland

The food was good. hostess was incredible, but the service was bad. server was very friendly, but we were completely abandoned for an hour. we had to ask for our check several times and it was the hostess who helped us and was incredible. the food was good, but for the price I would rather eat at Jake’s grill.

New Year’s eve 2022. Worst in my entire life! 10pm reservation, we were early. They did not seat us until 10:20. Then they rushed us to have us out ASAP and BEFORE midnight. Food was terrible except the lobster. Dried out roasted potatoes and raw asparagus, both inedible. Our server was sweet.

Wait staff was super slow. We saw other parties that came after us that received their food first and left and we were still waiting. Bad experience.

We were here after a long day at OHSU with a family member. We were looking forward to a quality meal and good service given the price point and reputation. I would say it was just average. They were out of two of the three dishes we ordered (ahi and 8 oz filet), forgot to bring a side we ordered and then took forever to bring us our wine and a beer with dinner. It didn’t seem all that busy (it was 6:00 on a Thursday), but maybe there was more going on elsewhere in the restaurant that we couldn’t see or they were short staffed. Our waiter was semi-friendly, but not around much. Food was solid, but not spectacular. Given we were last minute in looking for a dinner spot, it was as fine, but I don’t know that we’d choose it next time given options. Location and ambiance are great.

Wonderful dining at McCormicks at Harborside! If visiting it’s a fabulous place to enjoy the Willamette and enjoy an amazing dinner! Oysters, salmon and Caesar salad! Exceptional!
