The main dishes are unremarkable and somewhat pricey, the sandwiches are disappointing, but the desserts are truly outstanding.

This restaurant offers a unique blend of a bar, café, and dining experience, all with a charming bistro atmosphere. The environment is pleasant and comfortable, exuding an upscale vibe and filled with natural light. The menu is eclectic with plenty of appealing options, and everything we sampled was excellent. The croque monsieur was quite large and different from what I've had in France, but still delicious. The service was friendly, although we did experience a lengthy wait for our food. However, the inviting ambiance made it easy to overlook. The desserts were outstanding, and the cappuccino was also excellent. We will definitely return.

Papa Haydn is one of the best special occasion restaurants you can go to in Portland for a nice lunch or cozy dinner. The jazz on Sundays and Wednesdays makes this place special within its own right but the cakes and desserts sets it apart from all others. This place is definitely pricey which is why I wouldn't come here consistently. The portions for some dishes can be small and leaving you wanting a bit more but overall, I absolutely this restaurant and will be coming back for as long as it's open!
