Salvage Bbq Smokehouse - Portland

I visited this restaurant for the first time on New Year's Eve, and I learned from the bartender that they're planning to close for a renovation. After tasting their food, I was quite disappointed to hear that! The ribs were tender and packed with flavor, featuring a delightful smoky and spicy kick. The staff was wonderful, and with cold beers and delicious food, what more could you want?

The brisket was fantastic! However, there was way too much pepper in the mac and cheese, and my kids didn't enjoy it at all. Seriously, just dial it back a bit. People can always add more pepper if they want!

Fantastic experience! I visited this restaurant twice in two weeks because it was that good. I tried the brisket, pork, fries, coleslaw, and mac and cheese, and everything was delicious!

Portland is blessed to have three amazing barbecue places, and Salvage is definitely on that list (along with Noble and Elsmere). Salvage is the only one in- town on the peninsula. Fun, casual atmosphere, friendly service, generous portions, and most importantly awesome BBQ!

This place surprised me i usually dislike anything smoked but their BBQ sauce and smoke was very good. Service was great! We ordered the Mest Fatality platter served 5-7 Mac n cheese has a kick, collards yummy, baked beans were delish. Cornbread was little dry but it's corn bread! Ribs were tender, chicken wings were good too.All the meats were flavorful! We spent a total of $170.
