Sextant Galley - Portland

I hesitated to give this place a five-star rating because I want to keep it a secret! It’s fantastic – more of a hangout for the older crowd, but everyone is welcome. The views over the water and the patio are great, creating a lovely atmosphere. There’s a pool table, and the bartenders are amazing; they really know how to mix drinks and are both sassy and friendly. They offer seasonal drinks, so definitely check those out. I just tried their Christmas special, the Grinch, and it was really unique. Before that, I had a berry martini that was quite good too. Whatever you try, you’re bound to love it! The clam chowder and chili are both excellent as well.

Fabulous food, something for everyone. Views out to the Columbia River and atmosphere excellent.

The staff here are fantastic, and the bartender, Lida, is exceptionally skilled at what she does!
