I paid $16 for a glass of red wine that came in a taste/white wine glass that is not acceptable in consideration of the price. After we spent on our party of $5100 on the bill, we discovered on the menu that they can buy a bottle that they have discounted with a $30. that is not a sale, that everyone can do at any time. you just have to take it. So was the wee I was drinking $16.00 a glass, $58 for the bottle corked there and if I just go in and buy this bottle, it's $28? none of it makes sense.
We stopped here after dinner in cibo next door. it was a busy Saturday evening, sat on the bar, which is our preference. personal, where friendly, but also she seemed busy most of the night, took awhile to get order and eat out. do they recommend the teufelseiern? re made with cream cheese and are exactly what should be smooth, creamy deviled eier. we liked especially those with the parmesan cracker. we loved her so much that we ordered a second round. wine options, where abundant and diverse. it is worth trying. not cheap, but they get what they pay?
We came here to my mother's birthday and everyone had a great time. I confess, I'm not much of a crying drinker, but this is so good. our party was all vegetarian with a person who had a gluten allergy, but oui has all our desires included and created a special menu for us. many thanks for such a wonderful experience, we will be back!
I had a very disappointing experience in the wine collector. the idea about this place is amazing, the wine list is promising and interesting, but the delivery and the prices are not consistent. we asked the waitress to recommend us two glasses from the region oregon. we were served two glasses pinot in cheap tasting glasses and after a bit odor, one of the wee, the very recommended came smelling very much. we asked for a new one, and I must admit that the waitress was very apologetic and gave us a new glass. here's the ding! we paid $39 for 2 glasses of wine. one of a local winzer that makes the wine in the house and another from a local producer. this was served in small wine glasses and the waitress served us a wine that had been opened at least a few days before. there were two of the most expensive glasses of wine I have ever bought in a weinbar (and I have visited winebars all over the world) and quality and price have simply not added. I always feel bad about leaving a terrible review. but a device like this must deliver when they put up the bar.
The annual Memorial Day weekend wine tasting at Southeast Wine Collective is not to be missed! I mean, unlimited sampling of some of the finest Oregon wines; how can you go wrong? Okay, fine, I was cut off (politely with a smile) after my fourth sample of a Cabernet Sauvignon, but only because she was down to her last bottle. And the ambiance is equally great stacked barrels everywhere. Everyone becomes very friendly after about the first 10 minutes. Highly recommend.
