Tahrir Square - Portland

This Mediterranean restaurant is my favorite. I visit at least once a week and I have brought many friends and family here because they have the best gyro in the city. However, I was disappointed recently when I noticed that they had hired new staff, including a blonde woman and another guy who were not as well-trained as the previous staff. Overall, the food is great but the service could use improvement.

The chicken gyro was mediocre, with too much iceberg lettuce that made it too watery. I regret not ordering something else.

If you find yourself at Tahrir Square, don't worry about going hungry! I visited on a Wednesday night looking for a quick bite to eat, and I was pleasantly surprised by the diverse menu options. I decided to try the feta cheese pack, which was absolutely delicious! Despite the late hour, my meal satisfied my hunger and left me wanting more.

My friend ordered food for our group of 5 friends on Uber eats. While the delivery was more than 1 hour late, some food items from our order are missing. We called the Tahrir Square customer care number the next day and while we are talking about the missed food items, the employee cut the call without any courtesy. Then we called the same number once again and the same employee lifted the call and I asked him why he cut the call without even listening to our issue. Then he said that he is new to the place and he told us that he will inform his manager about our issue and the manager will get back to us. However, the manager didn’t call us until now. We don’t know what to do now than just forgetting the food and money lost.

I was happy before eating this food.... and ECSTATIC afterwards. Seriously delicious, and they give you a great amount of food. I got the orange chicken over rice with a side of falafel and hummus. Highly recommend
