The ins and outs of our whiskey wings told us, came back with treats for my dogs and engaged in excellent conversation throughout our time there. I am uncultivated and most whisky tastes the same to me, but the experience is what makes the difference for me. Thanks to Riley and team for the best in the northwest.
This place definitely has its place on the map for a good place for a drink in Portland, but also deserves a fantastic distillery. We have our hands on one of the promotion cards for a free tour and tasting that we did not expect them to cover us both, which was a pleasant surprise. But even if we had paid for both the tour and the tasting, we would have been only $30, and that would definitely have been worth it. I didn't have much to do with it. Before the tour we got a mini cocktail while waiting for the tour. It was one of her whiskeys and was quite delicious. In the tour we had to taste through the really funny process, from barley to beer to white dog. After the tour, the tasting I suspected was worth about two full dramas until our guide brought us two bonus tastings in which we had to try all their current whiskys. We have water without asking and the range between tasting we have a small tray of s'more treats. All inclusive of our tour. We enjoyed being uncommon and felt not rushed to finish. Our guide was wonderful, but I'm ashamed to say I don't remember her name! Short curly hair on the 1pm tour today. My only complaint would be that the car park was a B on Friday afternoon, so arrive early to drive around for a place. This place really thought about everything, and you can see the care that went into the design of the room, the partnership with other local businesses, and of course, the delicious whisky!
Great Single Malt Distillery is located in the industrial camps of Portland. Immigrant and invited to be part of Claire's next distillery tour. Matt walked around us and showed us all the joy that makes Westward Whiskey a MUST STOP place for every local or visitor of the PDX!
I wish I could give it more stars! Customer service/experience, ambience, merch and of course the whisky and cocktail flights are simply amazing. Thanks to Carlos and the team here.
After going to our first whiskey distillery in Ireland my sister and I try to go to a new one at least once a year. So when friends were visiting we knew we wanted to try Westward Whiskey. One of the people in the party was not wearing close toed shoes so we were not able to go on the tour, instead we had a tasting in the main room! They do offer a whiskey club which we debated signing up for and still might! We did end up purchasing a bottle and shared it during the holidays with our friends and everyone loved it
