Probably the hardest bed we’ve encountered in our 10 weeks travelling in Europe and for this reason I won’t come back. But if you’re ok with hard beds then this place is cool
I arrived at 12pm and left my luggage with them as was too early to check in, got back at 5pm to check in and I found my luggage on the lobby in front of reception desk unattended. Or some guest took my luggage and they didn’t check the tag the hotel gives to us or themselves gave my bag to a guest by mistake. Thanks god for some reason someone didn’t steal my bag and just left there. This is inadmissible! And is one of the hugest mistake a hotel can make. They don’t have hair conditioner, even if you ask at reception. Don’t have iron in the room and you have 30min to use it and give back or you need to pay. I asked for a twin room and beds were together. I had junior suite and it had a good size and was clean, the view from third floor was not as good as I though it would be.
Porto is fabulous, and if you're in your room, you're doing it wrong. With that said, it's more like a 3 star hotel with a great lounge bar. The rooms are small. To get into the shower, you must be able to clear a large step in tub. Cleanliness is on point. I would stay here again just because it's so clean. Bed is on the firmer side. There are no USB ports in the outlets. Location is outstanding.
Buffet breakfast us one if the best. Remember if you need omelettes made a particular way, they do it fresh and hot! Location is also ideal
Actually, this is a nice hotel, with an excellent location to do walking tours from. It is clean, and has a nice breakfast option on site. The reason I gave it three stars for rooms and service is because got the first two nights there, we were quite cold due to the room heat not working. I requested twice tho have maintenance come look to see what I was doing wrong with the thermostat. Nothing changed, not even sure if they checked... On day three, o cornered a housekeeper and requested that she call in the maintenance guy. He promptly came, did a quick check, and found the heat wasn't working. We were told it would be addressed while we were out doing our thing in town. Upon returning to the hotel, we received a Very Nice upgrade and apology for the lack of heat. The rest of our stay was excellent. The staff was friendly, they just didn't address the problem when it was first mentioned.
