I couldn't quite believe it when I walked in as it's huge and separated into three sections, bar in the middle and two restaurants on either side (I believe the smaller of the two serves as a lunchtime restaurant). It was mid week but packed with both locals and travellers alike, almost every table was full be we were lucky enough to get a couple of seats. On arrival the waiter took my name and then used it when showing me to my table which was a great friendly touch that instantly made us feel welcome. Great selection of food and the night we went the special was roast pork on the bone the portions were huge, massive hunks of meat served piping hot with roast vegetables. Nearly every table was ordering these so the locals must go specifically for this dish. I ordered some local dumpling dish as as starter and then baked fish for my main. The food was great, piping hot, fresh ingredients and large portions. Great atmosphere, really friendly service, great food, nice wine and beer selection and brilliant value for money. The photos on here really don't do the place justice and I wish I had taken some photos of the room and food. Even though the restaurant seemed full the service was prompt, waiters all smiling and chatting with the diners as they served and plates were being cleared quickly but not that quick where you felt rushed. Great place!
Great place for traditional Portuguese food, well cooked and perfect taste. Good selection of wines. Excellent quality/price
This is a very good place to lunch quickly. It has a nice menu with Portuguese food being served very quickly. Service is very nice being the owner itself doing the table service. Price is adjusted to the menu. I'll comeback for sure...
