A repetir!
Great traditional food. We had bacalhau “ as you do in Portugal “ it was amazing! My only criticism would be I would love more greens, but this is my personal choice. Great ambience, and a impeccable service by the owner Carlos and kevin! A must try in Porto.
A cozy restaurant very close to the city centre. Small lamps on the tables and a soft jazz music in the background really created an intimate atmosphere, whose only drawback was the ambient deodorant that I don't think it's very appropriate for a restaurant. The staff was perfect: friendly, professional and they gently guided us in our menu choices. The menu offers a range of typical products, including cheeses, hams and cured meats as starters. We opted for a cod with corn bread and potatoes and cod with mayonnaise and smashed potatoes (Prior's Cod), along with a young white wine from Alentejo. The cod was very well made: not excessively salty, not too soft, light with fats and with a good taste balance. The wine was good, too. For dessert we shared a Lime Pie: the filling was creamy and with a fresh lime aftertaste, while the biscuit was a little too hard and thick. We payed a little less than 60 €, which felt a little too much for the Portuguese standards, even accounting the good quality of the food. I hope they will soon provide themself the possibility to pay by card, as they only accepted cash.
