Excellent service, feels like you r going to your regular cafe across your home, We had Ribeye n Dry Aged, both r excellent, more like American style. Reservation is advisable, for the resto is small, 10-11 table only.
This restaurant was overrated and disappointing. Where they fell short: their steak cuts (per lb) were more fat than actual steak, and made to be mooing when asked for “medium”, even after 3x of bringing it back out, also the prawns which were advertised as shrimp and came out with all parts attached, (including the guts), and the overall value. This was our most expensive meal in Porto and it was also the most disappointing. They get 1-star for their wine selection.
Nice, intimate setting specializing in steaks and tapas. Reservations should be considered based upon disappointed people we noticed expecting but unable to simply walk in. Food here is terrific no surprise that they have awesome wine list. What we especially love about Portuguese restaurants are the staff. And Bota Bira was no exception. Our server Daniel was funny, engaging, smart and by end of the meal was sitting at out table. Have enjoyed Bota Bira multiple times and plan to be back again soon!
