My grilled vegetables had too much Oil on them. I also ordered Mozzarella and Tomatoes, the tomatoes tasted like dog food. Well but the fries were good.
I have to laugh at the previous contributor about the bread...that is how it is meant to be...classic Italian, that crispy bread that you put olive oil on, almost like a rusk...Still, we were staying at Alla Both (not a great hotel) but the manager/owner knew his wines and even told us what NOT to eat off the menu (on account of the type of pasta is not typically eaten in the Veneto region), so good on him. Food was fine, wine went down fine...what more do you need?
The bread basket. The contents weren't literally inedible....if I'd gone without food for 3 or more days it would have gone down the gullet, but in normally a nourished state, it was something else. The bread itself must have been sitting around for a couple days. The other item in the basket pulverized to dust when bitten. The salad. Here we are in an agricultural center and the tomato was mealy enough that I grabbed a napkins and spit it out. The way it was sliced might have been a clue, reflecting no care in preparation. I ordered the vegetarian formule or menu. The principal course was tasty, though, skimpy. I was pleased to awaken in the morning not feeling any consequences of the meal.
