The best dining experience made in Slovenia (Piran). Secluded from the inns of the old town, Beli Kriz is located in the hills (less than 2 km from the centre). Typical trattoria, it offers meat and fish dishes, and a good quantity of pasta dishes: obviously, in the three dinners we had, we tried a bit of everything. What we ate: Trieste-style squid, sliced meat, steak, risotto with seafood, risotto with cuttlefish ink (a little too black on the bottom), Viennese-style escalopes, Karst ham, cheese platter, mussels alla busara, tagliatelle with truffles, fruit tiramisu. Each dish, which was really filling, was always accompanied by a side dish (fried/baked potatoes, grilled vegetables, salad and pickles). Try the local grappa and the pear one. Super-friendly, helpful and always smiling service (obviously with Slovenian times, but it's worth the wait). Internal parking (which in Piran is not a trivial matter). With 20€ each (max 25€ if you really want to exaggerate) you will leave satisfied and full. Highly recommended.
