Scent From Heaven Bakery - Portsmouth

My husband and I recently eloped and wanted a cake to celebrate our special occasion. We chose this bakery because we love their donuts. Unfortunately, the cake design did not meet our expectations. We requested either "The Thornberrys" or "Mr. and Mrs." on the cake, but they only put "Thornberry." We also asked for a light pink color and shared the purpose of the cake, hoping they would add their own creative touch. Instead, they used hot pink icing, and the writing looked quite poor. While the cake was affordable and tasted decent, we were very disappointed with its appearance.

I visited this location today and asked the lady if she had any Bavarian cream-filled donuts. Her response was, "No, I'm not making anything else today. What you see is what we have." Since nothing was labeled, I inquired about the available items, and she simply replied, "What... you... see..." I pointed out that nothing was labeled. After experiencing her rudeness, I decided not to spend my money there. I wished her a nice day, but she said nothing and turned to go into the back. I ended up going to Walmart instead.

I love their food so much but I hate that they only bake once a day unless you pre-order. I never know when I am going to be in the mood for their goodies. I would be in there every week if they had more donuts made. Not everyone can make it there before 7am.

Your page says your open until 5, but I come through in the mornings and usually dont have an option for donuts. I came around 10 and you were sold out again.

We stumbled upon this bakery and tried out their donuts and were so amazed. Their donuts are phenomenal!! After trying the donuts the first time, our next visit we ordered a cake for my sons birthday. We were very excited to see how the cake would taste, if their donuts tasted that good. The cake was beautiful. And it tasted great! We loved it! The only thing we had to complain about was the amount of frosting. We love our frosting but it was a tad too much, and, we ordered buttercream but I'm not sure if that's what we even got, it tasted more like the donut cream filling. (Still delicious! . If you're a frosting fan definitely check them out. Next time we need a cake we might just ask for less frosting.
