Mick's Monster Burgers - Portsmouth

The food was really nice been here a couple of times and both times have been decent quality! The views looking it Portsmouth are great and just a great vibe! it can be super busy up there and some people are messy and leave the rubbish behind which can ruin it a bit up there but others if your in the area try this place good size and quality food!

I stopped there today with a friend for a burger and chips during a long ride on our bikes. Observations. 1) There was a terrible stench of sewage and a suspicious’ leak seeping from beneath the van into the queue waiting to buy food. Should be fixed asap if not before. 2) It was really busy up on the hill with families and young children. Sadly the area seems to attract total idiots. There were three lads on a scooter, dirt bike (legal looking) and one on an unlicensed dirt bike who was doing terribly wobbly wheelies up and down the car park and along the highway outside. Hopefully nothing to do with the burger van but sadly they did nothing to stop them (call the police) despite the idiots almost knocking over a young child crossing the car park. A few visitors did try to tell them off but were obviously ignored. 3) the Chips were superb. The burger was ok but dwarfed by the oversized bun. There was so much bun it was genuinely hard to tell when I’d eaten a bit of the burger. My recommendation would be to get smaller buns… 4) service was fast, very polite and welcoming. Offered all sorts of condiments free of charge and the food was made ready and served very rapidly. Great people! 5) A seagull had a poo and got it in my bag of chips. Thankfully I can confirm the chips were very tasty before that incident but didn’t eat any more afterwards. 6) There were no loos. Great if there were some given how popular the place is. Maybe that explains the problem noted in item 1 I’ll probably not go back. Especially after the three scumbag miscreants followed us menacingly for a mile or two after we rode off. Bizarre. Fantastic views though.

I have dined at this restaurant twice while visiting family, and the food was delicious both times. We will definitely return next time we are in town from Scotland!

Amazing burgers and chips. Egg mushroom, bacon burger incredible.a must on any occasion.it is a family tradition....micks chips

Excellent burgers as always and surprisingly short queue compared to previous visits but this may have been because it was a Monday evening. My chilli cheese monster was delicious with a good chilli kick and patties cooked to perfection. Only improvement would be to add some seating
