Gennie's - Poughkeepsie

I picked up three rib dinners tonight, and they were absolutely fantastic! I can't wait to go back and try the entire menu! A big thank you to Gennie for serving 350 members of the Poughkeepsie community for Thanksgiving. It takes a lot of hard work and effort to do that for a small neighborhood restaurant. It’s greatly appreciated!

I had a fantastic experience at Gennie's! The food was delicious, and I managed to feed my entire family. We enjoyed the fried fish along with mac and cheese, sweet potatoes, potato salad, greens, and cornbread muffins. For dessert, we had banana pudding. I can’t wait to go back soon, and when my family visits from NYC, I’ll take them there. The server who assisted us was very pleasant as well. Thank you, Chef Carlos!

The best soul food in our area! Carlos always prepares a variety of seafood daily. Whatever you're in the mood for, he's always willing to go the extra mile. You can truly feel the love and family history at Gennie's.

I had to search this place for the attempt out there on the fishkill block party yesterday. tastes amazing eating was not expensive! can not wait to stop in restaurant soon!

Best Soul Food in NYS and beyond. The owner/chef couldn't be nicer. Great food and great people. I highly recommend Gennie's.
