O Santril - Povoa De Lanhoso

This restaurant is a hidden gem. It looks very unassuming from the outside, but once you pass the bar, you enter the simple dining room from where you can see the grills where the food is prepared. Everything was very fresh and the meat was customized for each client. I chose my cod and my husband and 10 year old son chose their cuts of beef before telling the chef how we wanted it prepared. Lots of appetizers appeared as we waited for our food and the waiter, who was a veritable políglot, checked on us frequently. We felt very taken care of and enjoyed a HUGE lunch Portuguese style... So many delicious plates to share. This restaurant is worth the time and the conversation with the waiter at the end made the experience truly memorable. We highly recommend you take the time to stop in. You won't regret it!
