Original Pancake House - Poway

Great pancakes. You may have to wait a while to get in, and it will probably be crowded inside, but the pancakes make it all worthwhile. The 49er flapjacks are great and if you are quite hungry, (and not worried about calories), the Apple Pancake is amazing. Ordering bacon is sometimes iffy since it tends to be either over- or under-cooked, and I haven't found their fried potatoes to be worth ordering, but the pancakes are reason enough to return.

Fantastic blueberry pancakes! Huge portions, too. I had the fried potatoes also which was my favorite part of the meal. Service was great and meals were served quickly, but hot and fresh. Loved it!

4 stars! Little bit of a wait but well worth it. Service was a little slow but that's to be expected with 16 year old servers. Over all...heck of a lot better than an I-Hop!! I'll be back.

Boy are we stuffed after a delicious breakfast here! The servings are massive and most things on the menu actually come with a side of pancakes. The omelettes were incredible!! So fluffy, flavorful, and absolutely stuffed full. They had gluten free pancakes which honestly tasted like regular pancakes just not as fluffy. They weren’t the best but it’s always a treat to find gluten free pancakes at at a restaurant. The pancakes came with real maple syrup, yum! They had indoor and outdoor seating. Staff was very friendly. Coffee was not good but the mugs were adorable and maybe other coffee drinks would be better.
