Gallo's Tap Room Powell

I really enjoy the food here, but the service is consistently poor. To make matters worse, they've recently added a $2 fee for credit card payments. I'm sure the lockdowns influenced this decision, but the slow service definitely doesn’t warrant any additional charges.

Not our greatest dining experience. Service was mediocre at best. Server clearly didn't want to be there. Beef Tenderloin sandwich was way, way overcooked, not burnt, just super well done. Mac and Cheese ap was fine. Salads were huge, but quality not so good.

We had an enjoyable evening at Gallo’s and our server, Tyler, made it even better. He responded to all of our questions and seemed to enjoy the repartee. The Santorini salad was HUGE, impressive and fabulous. The veggie wrap, grilled chicken sandwich and chicken wrap all hit the spot) along with the side salad and coleslaw). All in all, a delightful meal.

The food was ok; standard fare. Not overwhelmingly flavorful. We try to keep in mind that places are short staffed, but it took forever to get our food and our reservations were for 4:30, not prime time. One member of our group didn’t receive her SALAD until well after the rest of us got our food and we had to ask twice. They comped the salad, which we appreciated, but then the bill was still wrong as they added the salad. It just wasn’t a good first experience and no other redeeming qualities for us to give it another try.

The food had an unappetizing appearance overall. I wouldn't recommend this place. While the server was excellent, it couldn't make up for the poor quality of the food.
