I have rarely visited such a warm, welcoming and homely cafe as this. The delicious coffee, the board games on the shelf, the perfectly seasoned vegan sausage rolls, the squishy cushions by the window where locals perch and wax lyrical about this amazing hub of the community. If local feeling is anything to go by this gem of a cafe won't be shut for long, and when it reopens we'll be back and waiting in the queue!
I had a fantastic lunch at The Great Oak. The quiche and three salads for £9.95 is a great deal and the quality is top-notch. I always enjoy stopping here when traveling through mid-Wales.
I was thrilled to discover this fantastic vegetarian cafe in the heart of Wales. The sweet potato and leek soup I ordered was one of the best soups I have ever tasted. The flavor, texture, and seasoning were all perfect. The quiche and salad were also exceptional. The garden in the back of the cafe is spacious and beautiful. Although I was slightly disappointed with the cappuccino, as it lacked in flavor, overall it was a very enjoyable experience. I would rate it 5 stars.
Everything was excellent. Beautiful voffee, delicious home made cake. Dont miss this fantastic cafe if you are in the area.
I visited a vegan café as a non-vegan, and while I had no issue with that, I did expect a good experience. I ordered a hot chocolate and a scone, but unfortunately the scone was extremely dry and crumbled when I tried to cut it. There was hardly any butter and jam provided, barely enough for half of the scone. I attempted to alert a staff member, but noticed a sign apologizing for the staff being in training. It was disappointing.
