The old building has been decorated with an eclectic mix of paintings and works of art.But what attracted me was the appealing aroma of recently brewed chai leaf that seemed to pervade the whole place. I ordered an extra hot skinny (fat-reduced) flat white and was rewarded with a first class coffee. I glanced at the Menu and decided that next time I would indulge in a chorizo and eggs mains for breakfast/brunch/lunch or afternoon tea. Al fresco dining is available on the iron lace decorated verandah where one can observe the comings and goings of the local citizenry and visiting tourists who may have discovered this delightful café.I found the staff helpful, conversational and anxious to please.I will definitely return for my chorizo and eggs breakfast. For people exiting Prahran market, simply cross the road and walk straight up Izett Street for a different experience.
Me and my boyfriend popped in here for a coffee and some banana bread and we're absolutely delighted with the place. Best banana bread I have ever had! Soft and delicious and served with pistachio butter, coffee creme and fresh berries and melon. I also had an awesome tumeric latte and the rest of the menu looked amazing. Plus the service was awesome! So laid back and friendly. Will definitely return.
Why don't I come here all the time? The warm fireplace in a Melbourne winter or a cool courtyard in a Melbourne summer. The individual and healthy take on the menu presented by a chef that obviously is very proud of his creations. The Melbourne staple for breakfast of Avocado on toast will never be the same for me. All will now be measured by Isit's interpretation. I'm looking forward to trying everything on the menu as the days go by. The fire place , friendly staff and great food invite me back.
Nice little place for lunch. The menu is a little bit different compared to the casual australian breakfast and lunch food. More creative but spicy and hot. Be aware that the food could surprise you. The waitress should inform you before ordering. The street side is on the east so no sun on the small terrace. In two words: Original and creative menu. Nice service. Kind peoples. Different from the other place.- The food is spicy and nobody told us, a little bit desapointed. My appreciation is globally for Tripad. that// 5/5 is for the best of the best, so 3/5 is not so bad.
Loved it all - walked there on a Sunday morning from our hotel. Food (chorizo and poached eggs) coffee and service: everything was outstanding. Small place yet very charming. If we're back in this area we will definitely go there again. Would recommend this place to all breakfast lovers.
