The service was pleasant, and the food was enjoyable. The atmosphere definitely has that small-town bar vibe, where you can see that the regular customers and staff are familiar with one another. However, the building could use some renovation and a thorough cleaning.

I ordered a Miller, a cheeseburger, and fries. The server kindly let me know that it might take a while due to the limited staff. There were only six other customers, four of whom had also ordered food. From my vantage point at the bar, I watched her rush around in the kitchen, a burnt Virginia Slim 1000 hanging off her lip. To make matters worse, a vendor walked in to restock supplies, adding to the chaos. When my cheeseburger finally arrived, it was soggy and fell apart—definitely the worst I've ever had. There was no menu available, so I didn’t know the prices beforehand, but I ended up being charged $8.25 for the burger and $4.00 for the fries. I have a feeling I got hit with a “you’re not from around here” surcharge. It’s unfortunate, but if that’s how they have to operate to keep going, so be it. I left a $20 tip on the bar as I left, wishing the staff well.
