My wife and I discovered it by accident on a recent vacation, and we’re now planning on coming back every summer. The building has been in the same family since 1700, first as the center of a farm and now as a family-owned and operated restaurant. They’re only open for dinner, and they only serve a few classic dishes of the Valle d’Aosta area, which means hearty mountain food – but absolutely everything is cooked to perfection. The Matzon antipasto, made with materials from the Grange family garden, is the obligatory point of departure. If you have the capacity, try the gnocchi di patate, but whatever you do, you must have the filetto di vitello con castagne di miele, which is about as delicious a single plate as you’ll ever experience in your life. The price is quite reasonable, but whatever they charge, pay it … You won’t regret it.
Cosa posso dire? Un locale caratteristico, pulito, rispettoso dei regolamenti Covid, con personale cordiale. Ottimo menù tipico con piatti della Valle d'Aosta non banali. Siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti e torneremo sicuramente.
I have been here many times in the winter and summer and it always seems to amaze. The staff are super friendly and the food is amazing. A family run business with with that local feel. The menu changes but if you ever see these things on the menu don't go past them. Some of the most amazingly delicious dishes I have ever eaten. Filetto di vitello con castagne al miele (veal fillet with chestnuts and honey) risotto con bleu d'aoste e pere (Risotto with blue cheese and pears)
A great restaurant a bit off the beaten path; very nice, warm, atmosphere; delicious dishes typical of the Valle d'Aosta region.
