Vern's Pizza - Prince Albert

Always loved coming here for lunch while living in the area for four years.

Very much like another person on here I ordered a pizza and was told it would be delivered in about an hour. After an hour and a half I called to see where my pizza was and was told that somebody dropped it and it would be another hour before it would be ready so 2.5 hours from the time it was ordered. I spoke to the manager because this was totally unacceptable and she offed me 5% off if I waited the extra hour and told me that I was being unreasonable if I didn't wait because they were quite busy. Needless to say I didn't have a pizza from Verns and never will.

After hearing from coworkers about the high quality of Vern's Pizza, I decided to try it one night. I placed an order over the phone, trying to take advantage of the current promotion. After explaining the offer [which was clearly stated on their website] to the person on the phone several times, my order was finally taken. He was unfamiliar with the offer and had to look it up on their website. I was told it would be almost an hour before my pizza was ready. In the mean time, I ran some errands, picked up some take out for other members of my family, and after a good 50 minutes, drove to Vern's to pick up my pizza.I was a little apprehensive about the state of the place. It was totally empty, no customers, no staff, odd for a Friday night, and it was more than a little dirty. After several minutes, an employee came out of the back and told me my pizza wasn't ready because he didn't have time to make it. I wanted to say, "Yes, I can see all the customers in here!" but remained civil and left, albeit without my pizza. Judging from the state of the place and the employee, I was kind of glad to not be eating anything from there.A very negative experience, will not return, at least not in Prince Albert.

The pizza here certainly isn't cheap but I love it. Yes, I need to drink a gallon of water about a hour after eating a few slices, but small price to pay for the taste :)

Very expensive pizza but very good pizza if you get the assorted ones. Don't waste your money on the thick if you are only getting 2 ingredients. Was a greasy experience. Would not go back.
