The Husky Travel Ctr - Prince George

Many Husky gas stations have a restaurant inside and most of them have reasonable food. Can't say that about this one. The sandwich was uninspired. Turkey and lettuce between two pieces of bread may hit the definition of a sandwich but how about adding some mayo, mustard or other things. Subway makes a very good sandwich.Their soup of the day was very salty and the sandwich came on white bread when I asked for sourdough.Overall, a rather poor gas station meal.

Had to have a quick bite and meeting the food was hot and fast and the service was amazing never had to ask for a refill, prices were the middle of the road compared to most roadside restaurants. Definitely will go back.

I pop in here regularly for coffee and scratches. The employees are all very friendly. They give you their individual attention. Place is small and a little cramped but clean and organized. The restaurant has Good mmmm food too...very important for a Husky

We took our family of 5 here to eat while visiting PG. Right away the server was super friendly and accommodating for our kids and newborn baby. She let me set the carseat on the opposite table and recommended food for the kids. Service was fast as well, and our meals arrived in about 10 mins. Restaurant was clean and mostly empty, which was great since our kids wouldn't disturb anybody. Portion sizes were HUGE, which is great for truckers and a breastfeeding mom, too. Food was good, although a little greasy, but that's to be expected from burgers and fries. Prices were a little high but the portion sizes made it worthwhile. Next time, hubby and I will just share one portion and the kids could share as well. Definitely recommend this restaurant if you're hungry and have a lot of people to feed!Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly, as it wasn't busy when we went and the bathrooms are conveniently located right beside the door to the restaurant. Waitress was understanding of kids and their needs.

Classic, non-pretentious road diner. Often, that's just what you are looking for. Friendly staff, good prices a surprisingly diverse and full menu. What you see, is what you get.I'm hoping Husky House will continue to be a staple of the Canadian roadside.
