The food and service at this restaurant are always great. The Vietnamese noodles I had today were the best. Thank you.
This place, like any number in Rupert, has been around for years and years. The food isn't anything special (bland), but you get good-sized portions at a decent price. The menu is extensive -- a mix of standard Canadian food items, Chinese, some seafood -- so there's a little something for everybody.I've visited twice in the last month and, for what I paid, have no complaints. Their "combo burger" is huge and pretty good as is their hot "hamburger sandwich" (basically just a Salisbury steak on a piece of toasted bread...so if you want the steak, get the sandwich -- it's cheaper!). The soup, however, was bland and I probably won't order again. In short, this place is good if you're hungry and haven't eaten in a while (and, hey, food options in the Rupert mall are limited anyway).
Got some work done nearby and needed something to eat quick. Stopped in the mall and saw this place in the lower level. Extensive menu, reasonable prices, huge portions. Got egg foo young, chow mein and an egg roll. Food was bland, but plentiful. Suitable if you haven't had a meal that satisfied your hunger for awhile. I remember my days as a student. Otherwise should be avoided.
Cafeteria service and colorful locals to observe, the food was fine as well, good portions size and taste.
