We sat twice! The 1st time it was nice, but the 2nd time we were disappointed, as the food was stale and reheated (water on the plate with the rice and sotsukakia). The vegetable pies were very tasty! We also liked the pastry! The shop is in a nice spot, in a picturesque alley of the island in Chora! The staff is kind and helpful! We have been visiting Amorgos for years and until now Kastanis is one of the best restaurants in the country of Amorgos. It has excellent, quality, very ! tasty cooked traditional food : and very large portions. We have eaten the beets with yogurt, the rooster with noodles, the cheese pies, the Amorgian salad, the pasticcio, the potatoes, the steaks and many other dishes! It is located on the main road of the country, so it also has a nice peratzada . The owner is always very friendly, kind and helpful, while this year we were also served perfectly by Spyros!
