It has a local feeling AND the food and service that would wish visitors in the area without any crazy traps of the larger tourist Playas in Progreso. We have relaxed, eat good food, braided and had a great day on the beach.
Recently went to Progresso on vacation and had no idea what to do for the day. Thankfully we found Silcer Beach Club. This is all inclusive beach club on a common beach. You have drinks on the menu you pay extra for if you are not interested in the all inclusive buffet. The buffet was chicken fajitas, cheese empanadas/quesidillas, gorditas, black beans, white rice, salsa, quac, queso, chips and watermelons. The beach was clean with many sea shells. It wasn't crowded. The waiters were extremely attentive. The club had the bar/kitchen/table/pool/locker and bathroom on the first floor. The second floor has bathrooms and magnificent views of the beach and the streets of the city. There was a little hip hop dance group. The sellers were not rude or overlaid. Our guide ensured that we made it to the resort and back to the port without any problems. We really enjoyed each other. Shout to Chris and his crew to tell us about this place and get us there!
We had such a great time!!! All employees were great and cared for us! Beaches and pools are a must! Will be back
I highly recommend this beach excursion if you go to Progresso. We got off the Carnival Cruise and took a bus downtown without an excursion booked. We had planned on visiting the free beach but we found this one and it was more of a private beach with some really good food. Our waiter Russel was so nice and brought us a lot of food including nachos, chicken fajita tacos, quesadillas, and chips and salsa. He also brought us a lot of margaritas and beer and took very good care of us. Carlos was a great host and checked on us a lot to make sure we were having a good time. He even went on the bus with us to take us back to the cruise ship and gave us a lot of history on the drive back. We ate, drank, relaxed in reclining lawn chairs, collected seashells, and swam in the water. It was a very relaxing day at the beach and I would definitely go back again next time we are in Cozumel.
The place is nice and clean. The waiters were very friendly. They come to ask if you need anything the right amount of time. The food was delicious and fast. The best service and restaurant I had have in Puerto Progreso. I highly recommend to try the coco flan, was an unexpected delicious treat.
