Shanker's - Prospect

Their Dosai was as authentic as it would be. Beware of the Hot Vindaloo, it was properly hot but was so good.  The service was pleasant and friendly which made the whole experience a lot more enjoyable.

Decent range on the menu. Food is good, but nothing special considering the pricing. Atmosphere is perhaps a little tense. Wines are also overpriced - especially corkage! Wait staff are polite.

Unnecessarily expensive... If you're going to charge top price for food you need to go the extra mile.... Won't go back. It is a nice place though.

I have never been motivated to write a review until I dined here. I have never experienced worse service. It took well over an hour after ordering for food to arrive. When we complained to the waiter one of the chefs came out and shouted at us. I stated that we were not coming back and he said 'I couldn't care less'. Horrible evening out, couldn't enjoy the meal out of anger.

Cute little Indian place on prospect road, we always used to drive past but didn't think of stopping there until one day we did! the food was actually really nice and authentic and the service was great! there are not many nice places in Adelaide that do nice Indian food so this was great!
