Trattoria Zooma - Providence

Unfortunately, this restaurant does not belong to Federal Hill. This is NOT Italian food. Our waitress was great, but she's finished. The bartender took 40 minutes to get 4 drinks. Nothing bad. A bottle of rose, a martini, an aperol spray and a glass of red. The food is mediocre at best. The Bolognese, not. It's red sauce with meat. The Cavatelli with peas and pancetta was terrible the pancetta was fat, underboiled and playful. The Sachetti Pasta had a balsamic glaze that could not be tasted because it was buried in red sauce?! Weird. The Veal Marsala was hard and wild. The noise level is also from the diagrams to the point you lean into each other to hear. Also frustrating is the fact that they offer free valet with dinner, but no one could help us. $20 for Valet on the hill, Nope. We're going to Camille. We're not coming back.

Great night as usual! The food was fantastic from the appetizers to the main meals. We were there for my daughter's 16th birthday, and they surprised us to sing their happy birthday. Gabriella is the best waiting person ever!!!

The Auberginen-Appetizer was delicious and the Tagliatelle Bolognese was very good. My husband had the Panzanella salad and the Frutta di mare. Seafood was good and he ordered it with the house Pasta. The chocolate lava cake was excellent and served with a small gelato. It was also nice how Zooma gave us $20 for the open table rewards points unlike the typical $10. Our server was attentive and had no problem with the application of the reward points. The restaurant is consistent in food and good service.

There were 4 of us at dinner, and 3 of us had entrees with housemade pasta. The pasta at Zooma is always wonderful. The other person had the veal Milanese, and he was amazed at how tender and well-prepared they were. He said they were the best that he had eaten in a long time.

Will keep going back. Great in every way. Home made pasta and brick oven pizza is especially good.
