I used to visit frequently when it was just an old food truck in the parking lot. The new location is much nicer, though it’s a bit further to walk from the BYU campus for lunch.
What a gorgeous atmosphere! It was exciting to see our favorite food truck transformed into this stunning new building. Congratulations! I ordered the falafel gyro, and it was fantastic—just be sure to add plenty of tzatziki sauce! (On a side note, the tomato soup was disappointing and I wouldn't order it again. To the owner: I have a great recipe I'm happy to share!)
I ordered a chicken gyro and a beef gyro online for pickup at a specific time. I arrived a bit early, and although the food was ready, it was cold. When I opened the bags, I found they had prepared two lamb gyros instead. The food itself is tasty, but their customer service could certainly use some improvement.
Tater tots were super-crispy and the Tetris shapes were a fun touch. The fry sauce had more of a sweet barbecue sauce flavor than I prefer. The gyro was filled with a generous portion of meat! The tzatziki prevents from being too dry. I think it wouldbenefit from some green in it (romaine maybe? .
I tried the food and ordered the original gyro with pita and baklava. Everything was very tasty!
