The Pasta Bar Veneto - Puducherry

This was our first choice for lunch in pondicherry. Good pasta, good pizza and good vibe. Could have been better in the cocktail department. But recommendable.

This was a food joint that came first on zomato when i searched and thought how bad could a place be whose name itself emphasizes on a dish. And my question was answered. The quantity was worth the money for sure and the ambience was nice but the main part.. The food SUCKED. And so much so that it couldnt be made tastier even with huge amounts of salt oregano or chilli flakes..

Only for ambience, it was good. Food we couldn't taste because they were taking too much time probably coz it was weekend n we were in hurry to leave. A ???? pint was damn costly, not worth. Coming to service, we sat there for 10 mins but nobody came to take the order , for that matter I had to take the menu card to the waiter, then they came. Well yeah, billing was done faster. There was no delay in it.

With mixed bag of reviews I went in this place to satiate my pasta pangs. I wasn't impressed much. Tried two pastas to see if I was judging it on only one padta but both turned out average. It has a feeling of an old Italian restaurant and you can see the chef cooking. The restaurant looks quite appealing although the taste doesn't match the appeal for pasta. Aglio olio and macroni Mediterranean both fell short to achieve the level of taste they should have. Food: 2 Ambience: 3 Location: 3.5 Value for money: 2.5
